express keys and touch strip on Intuos 3 tablet: do they work?

express keys and touch strip on Intuos 3 tablet: do they work?

Hi,

are the express keys and the touch strip of an Intuos 3 tablet supposed to work in gimp?

I can see the keys and the touch strip delivering events with both "xidump pad" and "xinput test pad". In the gimp stylus and eraser work fine. In the "configure extended input devices" dialog I set all 32 keys to Shift+Ctrl+r both for device pad and stylus. When I press one of the express buttons the cursor in the device status dialog jumps to pad, but nothing else happens.

I use linux 2.6.18-4 from debian etch together with the wacom modules that are in etch, probably version 0.7.4.1-5.

I observe the same with gimp 2.2.13 and 2.3.14.

Bye,

Hendrik
