Exec file open each time I drag a photo in??

Exec file open each time I drag a photo in??
Hi. first time gimp user here. Each time I drag a photo in, I get a exec box (file - jpeg) in my dock (Mac OS) if I click on it a text box appears that reads this:
Last login: Fri Aug 7 09:25:11 on console Kyle@Kyles-MBP ~ % /Applications/GIMP-2.10.app/Contents/Resources/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/file-jpeg ; exit; /Applications/GIMP-2.10.app/Contents/Resources/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/file-jpeg is a GIMP plug-in and must be run by GIMP to be used
[Process completed]
and a terminal box also appears in the dock after clicking on the .exec box. What is this and how do I stop it? thank you.
