Intro for kids

Hi - my 12 year old is interested in exploring graphic design. Any thoughts on what she could start with/use in GIMP if she's brand new to this? Thanks

Intro for kids

She could make Christmas or Valentine's Day cards on a quarter sheet of folded letter-size paper.
With the text tool, she could play with different type faces, styles and weights, cursive and otherwise.
The different brushes will give different brush patterns. There are are thousand of colours to choose from. No sharpening necessary! She can also play around with manipulating photos.

And, if you have a document program such as MS WORD, her illustrations or graphics can be placed in letters or other documents.

That should keep her going for a while.
