GIMP 2.10 missing Levin-matting foreground extraction machine

I'm just curious to know what happened to the Levin-Matting machine for foreground extraction tool? I used it quite often in the development version of GIMP and found it far superior to global-mating, which is now the only option in GIMP 2.10. Will the Levin-matting machine soon be re-integrated into GIMP 2.10?

It cannot be reintegrated to 2.10, because it was never removed :)

This feature requires GEGL to be built with umfpack. Where did you get your build of GIMP and what is your operating system?

I'm running official flatpack version of GIMP 2.10 on Ubuntu Studo 16.04. BTW. global-matting works fine.
