New version compatibliity

I use Scribus which currently links to GIMP to edit pictures. Will this link still work if I install 2.2 now or should I wait for a Scribus update?

I am using the pre release of 2.2 in Scribus

In Scribus

Settings->Preferences->External Tools and insert the full path to your Gimp-2.2 executable in the "Image Processing Tool" text box
