Gimp Theme Selector

I am new here and have been using GIMP for some time. I recently installed this GIMP Theme Selector tool mentioned in a number of a Youtube videos. I have installed a number of themes and when I use the tool it does not see the themes that I have. I do not know what I am doing wrong. Or is there an easier way to preview each theme before I select the one I want.

I don't see any possible use for a separately installed GIMP Theme Selector tool; the GIMP already has one. Open the dialog at Edit > Preferences, go to the Themes item and select the one I want there. If you don't like the result, just select another one, or select the default theme.

To "install" a downloaded theme, just unzip it and add the resulting folder to the /gimp-2.x/themes/ directory. Start the GIMP and the new theme should appear as a selectable item in the Preferences menu mentioned above.
