run install as administrator: install wizard chooses a drive that either does not exist or that access has not been not granted for; install wizard does not allow user to choose a specific drive in regular Install or Customize Install

The installer will always upgrade existing install if it finds uninstall information in Registry - in this case it won't let you choose an install directory.

If you wish to install to a different place, you need to uninstall GIMP first, then run the installer again - this time it will ask you for installation directory if you choose Custom install.
