batch image manipulation plugin for gimp

I am trying to install http://www.alessandrofrancesconi.it/projects/bimp/

I put the files in the plug-ins folder and still do not see it in the menus.

From previous posts it looks like you are using ubuntu - is that correct?

If so, the BIMP plugin as downloaded, contains an executable for Windows plus the source code for compiling in Linux.
