GIMP bug

Sorry to be bugging you with this! I was unable to figure out bugzilla (>v_vt work.
And when I use the larger editor for text, I am unable to increase size, make italics, bold, underline etc.

I love GIMP! Just hoping someone could bring that issue to attention and maybe patch it. Thanks!

It would help a lot if you clarified a few things:

1. Version of GIMP 2. Windows? Mac? Linux?
3. Do you select text before changing its formatting?
