Hi Alain,

Unfortunately you cannot edit or add IPTC tags with GIMP yet.

There is an ongoing work to add a metadata dialog, but the last thing I heard is that it will be primarily targeting XMP and Exif.

Until we can do it with Gimp, you can create and/or edit all kinds of tags with Digikam.
