xubuntu 12.10 gimp 2.8 no toolbox

Setup:
xubuntu or kubuntu 12.10 and gimp 2.8. Normal screens: gimp and toolbox ok. Seperate xscreens nvidia: gimp 2.8 toolbox gone in single window or not single window: You can even see desktop shortcuts that are behind the gimp window in the toolbox area. see
