gimp fais saving some jpg files

Hello

I have some jpg files, produced by darktable (git)m, which are opened with GIMP without problems. But trying to save the file leads to an error message, the resulting jpg is 28K in size and broken. Saving file to xcf and trying to export it to jpg doesn't help. Exporting to png, opening and saving to jpg works. There is no visible system which files are failed and which not. Here is the xcf file and broken jpg. http://depositfiles.com/files/huvy30mak

I forgot to say - both GIMP 2.8.2 and current git master fail on Linux Mint 13 with Mate (based on Ubuntu 12.04).

What error message *exactly* do you get, and from what program, and when?

I had no difficulty exporting from your xcf example to a jpeg image.

Maybe posting the original JPG file from darktable would help people to guess the problem.

Why are you saving JPEG files and not PNG files from darktable? JPEG is lossy.
