Won't Open Images...

Won't Open Images...

When I go to the open menu and navigate to a jpg image and click "OPEN", nothing happens. The open dialog stays but the buttons are greyed out. Any ideas? Thanks.

Well, it's like this. You tell us what version of GIMP you are running on what system and where you got the installer, then we try to figure things out :) So far there is simply not enough information.

Well, it's like this. You tell us what version of GIMP you are running on what system and where you got the installer, then we try to figure things out :) So far there is simply not enough information.

Hi,

currently there are four installers listed there: the native build, the X11 build, the MacPorts build and the Fink build. Does the installer have the name gimp-2.8.2-dmg-1.dmg? If yes, there's a newer version, which was released later yesterday. Go to the downloads section again and try with the newer build (which ends with -2.dmg). I tested it here and had no problems opening JPEG files.
