Colorprofiling with colorchecker

Hi there,

I was searching for some infos about how to use the colorchecker passport with gimp and/or UFRaw and/or digikam for color correct images and use the profiles build out of the dng file. I just found workflows on how to use it with Adobe Lightroom or Adobe Photoshop 5 or so.
Can anybody point me to some infos about that topic?

best regards
