What is the best way to fade an edge

Hi all I was wondering what would be the best way to fade the edge of a pic so that it fades into nothing.

Quite Simple.

With your selection, 1.Right Click/select/shrink select how many pixels. 2. RIght Click/select/invert
3. Right Click/select/feather.

I think this is what you are looking for.
