Selecting multiple nodes with rectangle?

Selecting multiple nodes with rectangle?

Is there a way in GIMP to use the regular select tools (or something like them) to select multiple nodes in GIMP, rather than having to shift-click node-per-node? If not, maybe it would be a good idea to have a "select nodes" checkbox in the select tool options, so you could use them to select any path nodes that fall within the boundary?

No, I'm missing them, too.

Another way how it could work: if in path edit mode the select tools will automatically select nodes (without a checkbox). Modifier keys like Shift and Ctrl could add, remove or intersect selections (like known from the paint mode). I found another proposal at http://gimp-brainstorm.blogspot.de/2009/09/path-context-menu.html, which uses a context menu.

To push this topic a small step forward, you could file an enhancement request in Bugzilla.

@Peter Sikking: is this something you'd accept GUI brainstorm contributions or do you see it as a new feature?

Kind regards,

Sven

That looks like a more sensible way to me. And it's more or less consistent with the Cage Transform tool.
