Bug with image moving

When Edit image, then paste other image, press M, movement is detected but image cannot be moved.

Hi,

sounds like you either chose the wrong tool or the wrong object to move. I checked it with 2.6.12 and 2.8. Both work fine. First: pressing big M (in the English version) will start the Measure tool, which is different from the move tool. To use the move tool, press m without the shift key.
Second: in the move tool check which of three little imagebuttons behind the word 'move' is toggled. To move the latest pasted image (which is in a floating selection layer), the button 'layer' has to be toggled and the floating selection layer must be the active layer.
