Adding use-event-history to 2.6.12...is it too late?

- ! "Hi,\n\n I know that 2.6.12 is the final 2.6 release, so this might come a\nlittle
late, but would it be possible to add this patch (\nhttp://git.gnome.org/browse/gimp/commit/?id=dbf844c012894166e312470f0d98560d5e426613\n)
to the official release.\n\n It fixes an issue with Gimp on Ubuntu 11.10 (and probably
other\ndistros too) when using Wacom tablets, where at random times, a line\nget's
drawn to the edge of the canvas and back, from wherever you're\ndrawing. It's explained
in more detail here (\nhttps://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=661872 ). This
actually\nmakes Gimp quite problematic to draw with in Ubuntu 11.10.\n\n It also
seems to fix the issue that when you sometimes hit save, the\nsave dialog does not
respond to input from the wacom pen, and you have\nto click on the canvas and back
to the save window to activate it\n(happens maybe 1 in 5-10 times).\n\n I added
the patch manually to the 2.6.12 source code from gimp.org\n(MD5 = 9f876ee63a0c4a4c83f50f32fb3bbe63),
and it seems to work just\nfine, without introducing any other issues.\n\n Oh...if
the Gimp Ubuntu maintainer is on this list, please add this\npatch when you update
Gimp to 2.6.12 in the Ubuntu repos. :)\n\n This seems to no longer be an issue in
2.7.* releases. At least I was\nunable to recreate it there.\n\nThanks,\n\n Ragnar\n"

Adding use-event-history to 2.6.12...is it too late?
Yep, I'm looking forward to 2.8. It looks very promising.
I patched my version of 2.6.12, so have it working just the way I want, I was more thinking of other users who have the same problem and don't know how to patch and compile Gimp from source. But I do agree that it's a good idea to call it quits for 2.6, even with a few bugs remaining, so you guys can focus on the latest release.
