new color system with 5101 shades ready for Gimp
Hi, I am Gabriel Vano the creator of Givelife color system
GiveLife Color System put online the second product , the Color / System Palette in RGB ,more biggest of the world with 5101 shades of Color and it is incorporated into the Operative System "Asturix" (Linux Distribution).
I belive that this tool is very important and beneficial to help the
Designers in General , saving time and to forget about having to create
your own Color Palette , because with this Color Palette the Designers
can find the most desirable shades of Color.
This Color System has been tested by Designers demanding and the
conclusion of all them is very clear ,it is a key tool of color.
Currently this Color System is by default in the Operative System
"Asturix" that the new version Asturix 4, will be online in a week more
or less for this reason I send an e-mail to all the developers of Gimp
to study the possibility to put it, by default in Gimp , the color
system in RGB.
the type of the RGB is "SRGB".
if you visit the website you can download the Color system palette for
Gimp.
I am sure that this tool will be very ussefull for all the users of
Gimp.

Gabriel:
What's the license of your color system? I told you that you can't
expect to have your swatches included in any free software package if
they are distributed under copyright or any restrictive EULA. The
palette file should be distributed under a free software compatible
license.
In your website you don't specify any license other than a copyright,
so it is, at first glance, incompatible with our software.
Apart from that I still fail to see what's the benefit of using your
color system.
First of all, I'm not sure it's a color system either, since all the
samples you showed were created using device dependent profiles, and
cmyk and rgb swatches differ in number while there is no clear
indication of a relationship between them.
I have the impression that you just cherry picked colors from
photoshop using the color picker in CMYK and RGB, and I don't think
that's how you create a color system.
If you didn't do that and created your color system from a device
independent space considering the output gamuts to keep color
consistency accross the system, did measurements, etc. I'd love to
know more about the process.
I asked several times about the way you created your system and all I had were evasives. If you created your system properly and you don't want to share details about the process because you want to protect your IP, free software it's not for you. If you don't want to share details because there aren't details and your system is flawed, then there is no reason to consider it as a viable option.
Either way, you'll have to give us more information about your system if you want it to be included in any free software application. Sorry if this feels harsh, but up to this point you're only seem to be trying to push your swatches in to favour your business.

Update:
Gabriel replied in a private mail stating that sRGB and CMYK swatches
have no relationship between each other, and that license is CC
(BY-ND-NC).
I just got the e-mail after sending my previous reply.
Regarding the missing sRGB/CMYK relationship, I can't see there's a "system" here. And that backs my theory about the swatches being created by cherry-picking device-dependent colors. I can't see why this "system" should be better than any other palette.
Regarding the license, it's the most restrictive CC and it's certainly not free-software compatible. I'm not an expert here and I don't know how palettes relate to the host application, but I guess there is a problem with that too. At least to distribute it as part of GIMP or any other free software package.

CC-BY-ND-NC would also be incompatible with free Software, since it should be able to be refined (changed) and even used for commercial purposes.
I must also question the sense behind this "systems". The colors that i used in successful projects aren't even present inside this pallets. I really have to question their use cases. Some pallets make sense to me, others aren't usable at all. This one? I can't really imagine to use it for any purpose, since the natural colors i repeatedly use aren't present.
