Is bugzilla up-to-date?

This discussion is connected to the gimp-docs-list.gnome.org mailing list which is provided by the GIMP developers and not related to gimpusers.com.

This is a read-only list on gimpusers.com so this discussion thread is read-only, too.

Is bugzilla up-to-date?

I went to bugzilla, brought up a report, opened the corresponding XML file, and the bug was fixed. I assume the bug was fixed because there was a note in the header that stated that the file was changed to accommodate that particular bug. On the other hand, the bug was still listed as "not verified" and it had no comments.

I only checked one bug, and at that point I stopped. I did not pursue this to check dates (bad me).

Is it worth my time to check bugzilla for documentation issues (since I am working through the documentation)?

I should mention that I am impressed with how good the existing documentation is.

I noticed that GIMP now supports color profiles... I had absolutely no idea that this was the case. Very nice. I will need to point GIMP at my color profile. My Huey works great on Linux!

Which bug btw?

Sure it is. You should assign the bug to yourself if you are work on one. I had one clash with Ulf in the past, where he was faster with fixing and pushing his changes than me :)

I should mention that I am impressed with how good the existing documentation is.

Cheers!

I think that it was this one:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=577170

$ find . -type f -exec grep -i 577170 \{\} --with-filename \;

./dialogs/gradient-editor-dialog.xml: 2009-04-04 j.h: fixed bug #577170
