outdated (from 2.4) descriptions in the documentation

This discussion is connected to the gimp-docs-list.gnome.org mailing list which is provided by the GIMP developers and not related to gimpusers.com.

This is a read-only list on gimpusers.com so this discussion thread is read-only, too.

outdated (from 2.4) descriptions in the documentation

Cross post from gimp-dev, but probably this should be the main target list:

http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-selection-float.html still seems to be from 2.4 times (or older), thus distributing outdated information about the old "move selection content" behaviour. The new way of doing things is described pretty well in http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-using-selections.html already. I don't know if a change there can happen before the whole help system is moved to ${new system}, but just wanted to let you know.

Daniel

Thanks for letting us know. I filed a bug for this (#562001)

Cheers
