Need Help Manipulating a Lock of Hair

I am using Wonderful Gimp 2.10 in Windows 10. I have an image of a lock of hair that I need to manipulate into a spiral curl. Does anyone know how I could do that using the new warp feature, the other warp plugin, or some other tool I can use to do that? Thanks a bunch! Debby
