On windows how do I reset GIMP (2.2) to default, vanilla? Can I do this through the GUI or is there a config file which I can delete? -Bob

Have a look at the Preferences dialog. Many things can be reset using the GUI. But if you need to reset everything, then you can just delete your personal GIMP folder (.gimp-2.2). GIMP will then recreate it with defaults on next start.
