de-mosaic ?

Does gimp off a de-mosaic filter or script ? doing some scanning of documents into gimp via xsane.

That might work as a workaround. Demosaicing is a specific algorityhm though -- GEGL implements a demosaicing op, for example. Richard, if you were willing to use the gegl commandline, you could demosaic those pages quickly.

The demosaicing operation implemented in GEGL is the nearest neighbour equivalenet of demosicing, thus not really suitable for real work. It is alos highly doubtful that you want to (bayer) demosaic something coming from a scanner, since
there isn't a good reason for the scanner to provide a bayer pattern in the first place.
