Creating a colour negative in gimp.
Go into --> layer --> color --> invert
This will completely invert all colors. Print it on to the overhead
transparancy and make your contact print. Don't think you'll need the
orange mask like on the normal negative, you'll have to adjust the
filter settings on your enlarger while copying, you'll have to do some
testing.
Why do you want to make a contact print this way, you'd get far better
results by printing directly on to high quality paper instead of going
through the extra step of making a transparency. It's normally easier to
get a good print onto high qual paper than an overhead trans.

Hello, I would like to take a jpg and print it on a overhead transparency.
Then use this transparency to do a contact print on colour photo paper.
I can invert the image ok in gimp.
But how do I add the orange mask like in a normal negative?
Thanks regards,
Simon
