Gimp input/output error

Gimp input/output error
I just updated my computer and now when I try to open a saved documents in Gimp, it just gives me an input/output error. Somebody help me!

Is this about opening the attached file?
Can you specify what "updated my computer" means, and what documents (files?) you are referring to?
Can you provide one such file?
