Crop, Scale and save

I've been using Gimp for a couple of years without problem but my old laptop died on me last week and so I've moved over to Windows 10 and downloaded the latest version of GIMP 2.

I noticed that the crop symbol was missing but found it in the end but the problem I'm facing is as follows.

I open a picture that I have stored on my hard drive, crop it, scale it down to 250 x 250 and press/select Export as. However when I go to save it I get back this message. "Saving 'C:\Users\fredl\OneDrive\Pictures\Cyprus\sun-n-blue-boutique-hotel\gaia-sun-n-blue-250.jpg' failed:

Could not open 'C:\Users\fredl\OneDrive\Pictures\Cyprus\sun-n-blue-boutique-hotel\gaia-sun-n-blue-250.jpg' for writing: No such file or directory".

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

I could say as a linux user, maybe microsoft is the problem

If you search, one or two similar reports, this says a security issue.

best of luck

Thanks for coming back. Only being able to save them in a format that can't be used in WordPress is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Anyone else got any idea on how to fix this problem?

Not a security issue then?

Lets face it, Gimp works for the vast majority of users, so you are in a minority.

Why not ask the question on a forum where there are lots of Windows users, say gimpchat.com

Thanks for trying to help but I'll go back to GIMP 2.8 as I didn't have any problems with that issue. It makes me wonder why people continue to keep changing layouts and how things work. Not sure how to close so I'll let it time out.
