2.10.4 Windows startup error msgboxes

I downloaded 2.10.4 build for Windows from https://www.gimp.org/downloads/ and installed it. No errors during the install, but when I run it I get two error msgboxes during startup. The first msgbox has the title "web-page.exe - System Error" and says "The code execution cannot proceed because libenchant.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

The second msgbox has the title "help-browser.exe - System error", and the text in this msgbox is identical to the text in the first msgbox.

Once I answer the two msgboxes, Gimp starts up and appears to run ok.

I checked the SHA-256 hash of my downloaded install file, and it matches the value given on the download web page. I also ran the install a second time, as suggested in the error msgs, but the two startup error msgboxes still appear.

See attached screenshot of one of the msgboxes.

There is a bug report about libenchant.dll

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/1789

but I have just install Gimp 2.10.4 over a Gimp 2.10.2 without problems.

There will be a fix somewhere, you might just have to wait a little or go go back to 2.10.2

2.10.4 Windows startup error msgboxes

Thanks. After viewing the bug report, I downloaded 2.10.2, uninstalled 2.10.4, installed 2.10.2, installed 2.10.4. Problem no longer there.

This is a problem with a 'clean' installation of Gimp 2.10.4 in Windows.

A comparison of the Gimp 2/bin folders 2.10.2 contains libenchant.dll while 2.10.4 contains libenchant-2.dll

Installing 2.10.4 over 2.10.2 provides the file, or if you have a trusted source you can add the file libenchant.dll yourself.
