Erase Text Keep Paper

Can anyone help me figure out how to erase the text but keep the paper look behind it? I use Gimp but I'm very beginner. Any input would be so helpful! Thanks so much!

How much text do you want to remove?

That image is fairly low quality, lots of jpeg artifacts.

Unlikely that any single operation is best.

Resynthesizer + heal selection for some parts. See the earlier post on installing resynthesizer.

G'mic plugin www.gmic.eu In the repair section, the inpaint-metamorphical filter works for the larger text.

Going to be some cleaning up with the regular gimp clone tool.

Erase Text Keep Paper

Why don't you take a piece of paper, fold it, scrunch it up a bit then scan it in greyscale (or rgb)?

Or just take a photo of it.
