DETAIL Cropping/Editing!

Hey guys, I am trying to find the best way to crop VERY detailed images (10-100MB)?! I can bounce them down to J-Pegs with FastStone, and GIMP has always been my photo editing favorite, BUT, I can't figure out the best way to crop very fine details?! Which tool should I use? Thank you for any insight you might have.

Crop fine details? What does that even mean? :)

You open an image. You select the Crop tool.
You use it on whatever files you have.

What is the actual issue with cropping images? Please be more specific.

I figured it out...I am zooming in really really really really close and slowly trimming the image to crop it. I was hoping there was an easier way, but this is the best way. Thank you.

When you select the crop tool, look at its tool box where you adjust a pixel at a time.

Another option would be to use any selection tool (free select, magic wand, select by color, quick mask, or etc. as applicable), followed by Layers > Crop to selection.

:o)
