Renaming a brush?

Anyone know how to rename a brush I made? (Gimp 2.8.16)

The .gbr file has the name I want, but the brush dialogue only says: “Gimp Brush” or “Gimp Brush #1”.

As far as I can tell:

- parametric brushes: open in brush editor and change the name - other: open in Gimp, resave and give new name
