I'm a basic user of both 2.6 and 2.8 version ...
In version 2.8 the tool for text is very annoying since part of the
settings
are always hidding see included picture (color is not available and also
move the text box itself i a nightmare ...)
In version 2.6 is much more functional.
I think you should considering change this in a future release.
