gimp on windows7

Hello,

I downloaded gimp for windows7 pro but it won't run. The program stopped and all I see is the white square box with the title GIMP not responding.

I am sure I installed it right but it won't run, I run windows compatibility mode and still gimp won't run. Windows compatibility program said gimp program not compatible with windows version I am using.

I appreciate any help.

Hi Gary. As far as I can tell, we do not distribute GIMP for any particular version on Windows separately. Would you mind telling us

1) where you downloaded GIMP from; 2) what version of GIMP exactly you downloaded?

I installed GIMP from Partha's Place and I never encountered any problem. Gunold
