Toolbars seem to disappear on their own

Hello,

Can someone explain to me why my toolbars keep disappearing in GIMP 2.8.2? I know how to bring them back (go into settings, set them back to defaults and restart) so I just need to know if I'm doing anything that makes them just disappear.

Thank you.

The most obvious is pressing the TAB key. Perhaps you accidently pressed it and so they disappeared. They also return with the TAB key.

If this doesn't help and it turns out to be a bug, please upgrade to the latest version, currently GIMP 2.8.6.

Kind regards,

Sven

DUDE!!! That did it! You have NO IDEA how much time you have saved me with this. I'm sure it's obvious to most of you but I had no idea that hitting TAB would toggle the tools off/on.

Thank you so much!
