Hi Gimp Folk,

Just started to explore gimp. Have an application for distortion effects, but need to know the following. If I create a square (jpeg) that is exactly 50% black and 50% white and then distort the image using, for example 'i warp' or 'whirl & pinch', will the colour proportions of the resultant image still be exactly 50/50?

Hoping some tech minded person can confirm and explain this ??

Thanks for the tip - you're right, according to the histogram the ratios do alter a bit but using this tool I should be able to balance them as required - you're a champ!

Why don't you try yourself? Use the Histogram dialog to check the result (I'm pretty sure the ratio is not kept)? _______________________________________________ gimp-user-list mailing list
