My GIMP is frozen or something.

In the tabs at the top left (i.e. file, view, etc.), almost all of the choices are gray and unclickable. I can't use layers, selection, or any of the tools. My tablet is not the problem because I can't draw with the mouse either. Also, I have no idea whatsoever as to what is going on.

Do you have this problem when you first open? Are you able to make a new file? The keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+N ...if that helps at all...
