Novice Q1

Hi,

I'm using Vista and when I installed Gimp it didn't ask any installations questions and didn't create any Start menu entries, Desktop links etc - did I download the wrong version or am I missing something?

When the program starts, the currently highlighted item in the menu appears to be displayed in dark blue on black making it unreadable - can I change this? Seems an odd choice of colours.
