gimp help offline

I downloaded gimp help and installed it.All OK when i'm connected but not when I'm offline . Any solution?

Edit > Preferences > Help system

The value for "User manual" should be "Use a locally installed copy".

For the Windows version of 2.8 (not sure abut Linux for 2.8) it may also need Edit|Preferences|Interface|Language to be set to the particular language variant.
