I received a good answer about setting resolution. I also received a commercial offering from LIXIN STONE which surely looks like prostitution of your mailing list. For SHAME.

What you've received is called Spam (or more precisely, Unsolicited Commercial E-Mail, UCE). It was also not sent to you directly, but to the list address.

There's unfortunately no efficient way to restrict subscriptions to the list to certified non-spammers, so we'll have to deal with the occasional spamming attempt when they happen.

And spam on the list is fairly rare. I haven't been keeping count, but I wouldn't be surprised if the average is less than 1 per month. You just happened to sign up at an unlucky time ;)
