Gimp's startup loading

Hi All,
Anyone knows how the startup works?
Does GIMP load the patterns, gradients, palettes, brushes to the memory on the startup? or it just looks at it when needed?

I'm asking that because GIMP asks me to make refresh/restart every time I add a new pattern, otherwise I can't see it.

Thanks, Adir

Can't you just click the blue Refresh button?

Scripts can be updated by clicking Filters→Script-fu→Update btw.

Thanks Kevin BUT -

Unfortunetely this feature is irelevant for me because I'm using the GIMP in command line.

I'll be glad to know if anyone have an answer to my question, thanks...! On Thu, Apr 12, 2012 at 1:26 PM, Kevin Brubeck Unhammer wrote:

Do you mean in batch mode? If so, try (gimp-patterns-refresh). Look it up in Help→Procedure browser.

I think all of script-fu is available through the Python API too, if that's what you mean by command line.

I'll be glad to know if anyone have an answer to my question, thanks...!

GIMP asks you stuff on the command line?
