I can see on the website where I can download version 2.6 but i dont see where I can d/l 2.7.

Can ya help me out?

You mean it is not on one convinient place all together with links to each? That then would be a good idea to have a 'download page for 2.7'.

The reason there isn't a download link to it is because it's still a beta and is considered unstable.

Others have not really mentioned this, Dave, but stable releases always end with *even* first-decimal integers.
2.8 will have a link; 2.7 is the development path to 2.8 2.6 will most likely work fine for you until 2.8 comes out.
