Dear All
Can you please let me know how can I change my image foreground/background on GIMP?
Thank you

You definitely needs to elaborate if you want a meaningful reply.

Are you talking about foreground/background colors in the toolbar? The toggle is right there, and you can use X shortcut too.

Are you talking about objects in a photo? You cannot magically swap objects in foreground and background. You can select an object in the foreground though, there is a tool for that:

Thank you very much for your reply. I really mean 'Foreground select tool' . I am using GIMP 2.2 on my centos 5.6 . Do I need any upgrade as it seems that this tool is missing on my machine?

Foreground select tool was introduced in unstable GIMP 2.3.3 and ended up in stable 2.4. It was first implemented as a plug-in, but I can't seem to find its source code and even so I'm not sure it would work in v2.2. I'd suggest going for 2.4 or even 2.6 if possible.

Sorry. It seems that the only solution is to upgrade to centos 6 .
