resizing window gimp-2.6.11

I used to be able to maximize a display window and then make the image fit the window and finally shrink the window to fit the image. This seems to have changed recently. What are the equillivant keystrokes to accomplish fitting the image to the window and then shrinking the window to the image?

tks,

Is it Edit|Preferences|Image Windows|Zoom & Resize Behavior settings?

No, but you pointed me in the right direction :^), tks. It is , but it appears my window-manager it capturing , kde. Will investigate further and advise.

It's not the window-manager, and: and have no action when the window is nearly or at full screen :^(

Is this a bug? It is not expected action and, imo, not acceptable.
tks,
