Can anyone direct me to a site where I can download the huge bunch of brushes without the wretched "sign up" nonsense?

Where to get a huge bunch of Brushes?

You can also use Photoshop brush files (*.abr). Although I don't know if they fully functional in Gimp, but the basics should work.
