I am using GIMP 2.6.10 on an iMac, Snow Leopard. I attempted to import an image from my scanner (Brother DCP-130C) by selecting File > Create > Scanner/camera > Select Source. The Select Source dialogue box is blank. How do I get GIMP to recognise the sanner? Thanks in anticipation.

I won't be much help...but, does your computer recognize the scanner in other applications? I had a similar problem, recently, with a Brother DCP-110c and I had to install different drivers which I found on the Brother site...somewhere.

Sorry to provide no answer for you.

Have you got a symlink to the xsane binary in your gimp plug-in folder?

Sorry Andrew, I can't answer your question because I haven't a clue what a "symlink" is or an"xsane binary". I went to the plug-in browser and found the Camera plugin but the information in the right hand side is beyond my limited knowledge.

Checking your original post I see you're using an imac, so someone else will have to help you out. Sorry.
