Annoying Initialize Error

Annoying Initialize Error
Having installed Gimp 2.6.10 I get this file-mgr application error box popping up - The application failed to initialize properly bla bla. I can OK to continue and no other problems occur.
I did have this happen previously but found an easy method to stop it but I can't remember how or what it was I did!
Am running XP SP3.
Thanks for any ideas.
