RAW film formats.

While cruising through Krita I note that it will import several raw digital formats from several camera manufacturers. Will this be a Gimp feature in the future?

Try the 'ufraw' plugin. See:

Works here.

Very good. The specific Krita filter that caught my eye was for "Fuji RAF raw image." There were about a dozen others for various makes of cameras. Does the existing Gimp filter cover all these variants?

Last I've heard, Krita's raw format support was based on dcraw, which is what ufraw uses. So, basically, they should support the same formats.

You'll have to check for yourself. I use it with Pentax DSLR raw and I recall it accepts others but I only looked as far as the camera I have.
