Changing Text tool defaults

Friends,

The current default values in the text tool for size of the type is 18.0 pixels. I use a different size (12.0 points) so much that I'd like to make this the default value, but I cannot find out where to do so. Is it possible? What do I change? How do I find it?

Open (or create) "~/.gimp-2.6/tool-options/gimp-text-tool" and add the following:
(font-size 12.000000)

Also try going to Edit -> Preferences -> Tool Options and check "Save tool options on exit".
