smooth fine stroke

Is there a trick for getting a smooth, fine stroke?

I'm trying to do this, but my experiments are getting me substandard results. The stroke always seems coarse.

I'm experimenting with stroking both selections and paths.

Here is an image showing the results that I'm getting: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=34h8f9e&s=6

I'm setting the stroke width to 1px. But the lines still seem coarse to me.

Is it just my eye? My monitor perhaps? Or can I get the stroke to appear to be finer?

Try stoking your path using "Paintbrush" as the method. Before doing that, select the paintbrush tool, and pick a 1px round brush. See if that works for you. It produces very smooth output for me.

Best regards,
