Make a trofe-man

Hello.

I was googeling today and then i suddenly came over this cool image.

http://www.varna.no/NyWeb/pokal.jpg

And I've always wondered how I can make a figure like that.

Now I've got Gimp, and think it should be possible, but I don't know how.

So if anybody know a tutorial or maybe can tell me how I can do it, I would be so happy!

:)

The image you provided looks more to me like a render of a 3D figure, such as one might produce with Blender, rather than an image one might produce with GIMP.

So if anybody know a tutorial or maybe can tell me how I can do it, I would be so happy!

TROPHY!

The example you show looks to me like it was done in a 3D app.   It could be done in Blender (Blender is to Maya/Lightwave/3DStudioMax as Gimp is to Photoshop).  Modeling the shape would be fairly trivial.  Posing it would be a bit more complex.  Depends on if you wanted to make it just a single pose,or something that could later be repositioned.  Single pose, you could just adjust your original model, multiple poses would take something like an armature (which can get pretty complex for a beginner).  Blender is quite powerful (and free), but does have a rather intimidating learning curve.

That was probably made in a 3d modeling program like Blender.

However, with 3d modeling, they rely on 2D skins made in programs like gimp.
